CO2 laser work by delivering focused columns of strong heat energy into the skin. The laser quickly superheats water molecules in the skin tissue. When the water in the skin turns into gas, the skin cells vaporize. This effect promotes collagen formation and retraction of the dermis and epidermis to tighten the skin.

• Light mode– This option is often described as a “laser peel”. It is a good option in younger patients and can serve as an “introduction” to CO₂ laser treatment. It helps improve superficial tone and texture while keeping downtime to a minimum.
• Mid mode– This option provides a more aggressive treatment then the light mode. It improves skin tone and texture but since the laser energy penetrates deeper into the epidermis and superficial dermis, it also helps with wrinkles.
